New Bag Design

Well here we have it, a new Faint Impressions design hot off the machine.

My favourite design so far and a great versatile handbag with all the necessary bells and whistles. Depending on the fabric it can be a day or night bag.

This bag will be available at the Everleigh Artisans' Markets December 6th.
I think it looks great in this fabric. This is the bag that my workshop buddies will be making!

I took a quick trip to Martin Place for a photo-shoot with my gorgeous model. Thanks for braving the public stairs at the height of lunch time Olivia.

Let me know what you think below by making a comment.

P.S There are some really cool installations in random laneways throughout Sydney at the moment. See bird cages below, this one includes lovely bird sounds like in the bush. Ahh home sweet home..... nearly. Do something different at lunch time and check them out-Laneways by George

Bag Workshop Numero Uno

Today was my idea of a perfect Sunday; pouring rain, an endless supply of cups of tea, chocolate, fabric and great friends. Today was my trial bag workshop day!

The girls arrived at 12pm, escaping the cats and dogs that were falling from the sky; loaded up with their machines and fabric supplies, ready to teach their machines a thing or two. Everyone selected great fabric with complimentary colour combinations.

I got some valuable feedback from the day and the girls impressed themselves and me with the new skills they learnt.

I can't wait to do it again!

Night Noodle Markets

Cam and I went to the last night of the Night Noodle Markets in Hyde Park on Friday night.

Too much champagne and beer whilst walking through Hyde Park, one ipod ear phone each singing Elton John made for a great night out!

Amy Butler Fabric Fix

Amy has just released her latest fabric range called LOVE. The "inspiration" pieces she has put together look amazing as always. I'm inspired to get creative from just a quick glance.
It seems there is even a range that is laminated, which would be just awesome for making matching toiletry/make up bags with a main bag. Thanks Amy! I've yet to see, touch and sniff them (self confessed fabric addict) but will pop down to my local as I think they may have them now.
Warning, seeing these fabrics whilst in possession of a credit card could be dangerous!

Botanical Gardens Photo Shoot

I spent the mildly sunny day today taking photos of my latest bags in the Botanical Gardens. All the tulips have gone already so I'm glad Cam & I went a few weeks ago.
I also did a photo shoot yesterday for my Bag Workshops, which will be starting in the very near future! I've sent out an invite to a couple of friends for the first workshop to be my guinea pigs, woo hoo! Express your interest in the workshop by leaving your comment below.
Lots to do at the moment; things just seem to be rolling into place these last few weeks and man it feels gooooooood!
Hope you all have a super week.

Everleigh Markets Debut

I did it!
I finally did a market and I loved it! In the morning I was feeling nervous but by the time everything started I was fine. So many people came to look at the bags and commented on how nice they were and how much they liked the fabrics. It was great to get feedback from the market place.
I chatted with lots of people and it was just so nice to be surrounded by others who were also getting out there with a stall. The vibe was great and I could have easily spent the money I made on some lovely hand crafted wares.
I am most excited about the 15 people that signed up to my bag making class list! THANK YOU to those people and I will be in touch with news very soon.
I plan to return to the markets next month when the weather is warmer and the shoppers are a plenty.

Johnny's still got it!

I had the privilege of seeing John Farnham in concert when he was in Sydney a few weeks ago. He was unbelievable!
I had third row seats and could practically touch the stage. I have been waiting 10 years to see him and was more than happy to fork out the cash to get close.
Oh, did I mention that he came over to shake my hand whilst I was dancing in the isle! Oh yes, I know you are jealous.
